You can buy without waiting in lines, without cash or tedious card transactions. The technology is called Scan&Go and it’s already beta testing inside Cencosud’s supermarket Jumbo.

This technology is being tested at Jumbo Alto Las Condes. To buy groceries you just need to download an app and link your payment method. Right now, the retailer only allows you to buy stuff with its own cards, but they hope that soon you can enjoy this modern service with all payment methods.

Scan&go works like Amazon Go: you just have to select the products, scan the code on the app and everything you buy will be charged to your account. It’s that easy. Right now there’s a supermarket cashier specifically for this payment method. New cashiers will be created as the demand increases, the same thing that happened with self-service.

Check out the app here.
